Radiata Stories uses the coexistence of the Human, Elf, Dwarf, and Orc as the main races. Therefore, the aspects of clothings are mainly based on Central European styles, especially when the main character wears extremely attractive helmets and armor, the overall view is really impressive.

Radiata Stories uses a Real Time Battle System. However, just right after the game starts, you then have to enter the Radiata Knights Section Trial. No matter how hard one performs in the first battle, winning just doesn't seem to be an option. Then you realize that you were "fated" to lose that battle no matter what. Later on in the game, you will be able to learn sword, axe, and spear skills as you progress.

In battle, the player is only able to perform two basic actions: attacking and defending. However, if the timing is right, you should be able to deal more damage on your enemies if done correctly. Other then personal actions, you will also be able to to learn how to give commands to your party members to aid you in battle. Another interesting aspect is that players can choose between different party formations, also known as links, against different enemies. Finishing moves are done beautifully and they inflict massive amount of damage on a single foe.

Radiata Stories has a Time Schedule System, every character has his/her own schedule to follow and would be at different places depending on the time. The lighting also changes when night arrives and the busy streets suddenly becomes empty. Even monsters outside the castle have a period when they rest, giving the player total control of whether or not to engage in battle.

If you take a closer look at the Radiata census list, you'll see that more than 150 characters can be recruited into your party once certain requirements have been fullfilled. There are four guilds in total: the warrior guild, the mage guild, the monk guild, and the bandit guild. Which different guild members at hand, you are able to take on different missions. In a sense, the game does have an MMORPG feel to it.

On the upside, in Radiata Stories you see all monsters before you engage in combat. Thus dodging monsters is an option, but more then likely the monster will be able to see you. You can have up to four characters in your party at a time aswell!
