Monster or Treasure Chest?
Use the airships search function to access this hidden location. Omega Ruins is home to some of the strongest fiends. During battle, you will occasionally run into a treasure chest which you can open using Steal (not Mug). You may recieve an item such as a Mega Potions and occasionally Turbo Ethers. On the other hand, the treasure chest may prove to be a fiend, a monster known as Mimic. If you defeat this fiend you will be rewarded with 50,000 gil.

Special Treasure Chests
Scattered around Omega Ruins you will find collections of between 2 and 4 treasure chests. Each chest contains either an item or a fiend. Should you open a chest containing a fiend, the other chests in the vicinity will disappear. The chests contents depend on how many you have opened so far. The first few chests always contain a Lv. 4 Key Sphere.

Ultima Weapon
By the lift leading to the next level you will encounter Ultima Weapon. Protect yourself from confusion, petrification and silence. With 70,000 HP this boss really shouldnt be a challenge. Steal from him to gain 10 or 20 Doors to Tomorrow, then just unleash you overdrives.

Omega Weapon
Once you have defeated Ultima Weapon, you can use the teleporter to access the 2nd section of the Omega Ruins. Here you must move across platforms with a different enemy waiting on each one, the last one being Omega Weapon. Although Omega Weapon's HP figure is impressive(999,999), his fighting skills are nothing to write home about. If you have the chance use Lancet ability with Kimahri to learn the Nova Overdrive. After his defeat, Omega will drop Lv. 4 Key Sphere's and may even drop some armor with the Break HP Limit ability.
