Below is a full list of all inflictable status effects in FINAL FANTASY VII, the effect it gives, and the antibody that removes it.

BeserkAttacks become stronger but the character can't be controlled.Use Magic "Heal" or Remedy
ConfusionCharacter becomes confused and will attack ally and foe alike.Magic "Heal" or remedy, or just get attacked and you will lose the confuse status.
CriticalYour HP is very low.Use anything that will bring back some HP.
DarknessDecrease Hit RateUse eye drop, Remedy, or Magic "Heal".
DeathInstantly KO's target.Use Phoenix Down or Magic"life".
Death SentenceA countdown begins and you die if it reaches 0 before the end of battle.Beat your oponent before the countdown reaches 0.
FrogTurns you into a frog.Use a Maidens Kiss or magic"Transform".
FuryYour Limit Gauge fills up faster, but you take more damage when attacked, and your hit rate is decreased.Use a Tranquilizer, Remedy, or Magic"Heal".
SadnessYou take less damage but your Limit Gauge fills up slower.Use a Hyper, Remedy, or a Magic "Heal".
SilenceYou are unable to cast magic.Use Echo Screen, Remedy, or Magic"Heal".
SleepTarget falls asleep and doesn't move.Use Remedy, "Heal" Magic, or just wait till you get attacked.
Slow NumbTarget will gradually turn to stone.Use Soft or Magic"Heal".
SmallAttack and Defense is decreased and you shrink in size.Use Magic "Transform".
ParalyzedYou become paralyzed and can't attack or do anythingUse a remedy or Magic"Heal"
PetrifyTarget gets turned to stone.Use a soft, Remedy or a magic "Heal".
PoisonYou lose a little HP every turn.Use Antidote, Remedy, or Magic"Heal".
